Be Part of Generation Restoration
Are you a Sea-changer?
This month heralds two very important dates in the environmental awareness calendar. The United Nations World Environment Day and World Ocean Day. Here at Vanilla Blanc, we make it a priority to be as kind to the planet as possible when we make our products from sourcing locally grown organic ingredients to investing in BPA free PET fully recyclable packaging and sustainable wood resources. Our formulations are SLS, SLES and Paraben FREE, are vegan compliant and never tested on animals.
Most of us are aware of the issues our oceans are facing – from overfishing, to pollution, plastics and climate change. To honour World Ocean Day (8 June), Vanilla Blanc and Read/the/label will donate 50p from every order for one week to one of our favourite charities - Sea-Changers UK. Sea-Changers is a charity that has a vision of creating a world where the seas and shores are clean, healthy and marine species are protected. Their mission is to inspire people to contribute positively to its sustainability and enable businesses to make a difference that care about the marine environment.
In the same vein, World Environment Day 2021 (5 June) calls for urgent action to revive our damaged ecosystems – to reimagine, recreate and restore what centuries of misuse have caused. We all depend on healthy ecosystems for our survival and to do that, it means bringing back plants and animals from the brink of extinction. But it also includes the many small actions everyone can take, every day: growing trees, greening our cities, rewilding our gardens or cleaning up rubbish alongside rivers and coasts.
As part of the reimagine message, we also encourage all our wonderful customers to reuse our hand-crafted wooden gift boxes after purchase. Limited only by your imagination, the boxes can become the perfect herb box, plant pot or bird feeder. For a chance to be featured on our Instagram page send a photo of the innovative way you are reusing your wooden VB box to email@example.com
We hope we can all do our part – however small to help preserve what Nature intended.
We would like to thank you for your support!
